Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and singer, began with a series of ribbing quips about sexual identities, racial identity and gender. Before expanding to Hollywood her music, she came out with an album of rap songs. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via the trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. While in college, she took classes in Women's Studies and Journalism. It was also during this time that she spent one semester studying Mandarin while in Beijing. After graduation, she began to focus on music. Her hit song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. It eventually made it in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also included viral hits such as the body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly to her other venture, Awkwafina's NYC guide to traveling published in the year 2015. As a musician and an author among her accomplishments, she decided to focus on becoming a third endeavor actor. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she scored breakout parts in several famous films such as Dude Ocean's 8.8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
